Introduction to the Richardson Memorial Library's encyclopedic holdings, auction catalogs, artists files, online resources, and corresponding research strategy tips.

Accessing the Museum's Library Resources through MOBIUS/OpenRS

The Saint Louis Art Museum's Richardson Memorial Library is a member of MOBIUS, a regional library consortium that provides access to nearly 30 million items. Patrons with accounts at MOBIUS member libraries can request Richardson Memorial Library materials directly through the MOBIUS online catalog with delivery to their local branch in less than five days. Contact your local MOBIUS branch library to learn more.

SLAM STAFF: How to Place MOBIUS/OpenRS Requests

To start your search, make sure to consult the Richardson Memorial Library's catalog. We grant much longer circulation periods to SLAM staff than are available through MOBIUS.

If the RML does not have the item you seek, search the MOBIUS/OpenRS platform

1. Sign in to your Library user account.

2. Select your institution (Saint Louis Art Museum).

3. Sign in with your institutional username (NOT your email) and password.

4. Find your item in MOBIUS/OpenRS and select "Place a Hold."

5. Wait for confirmation that your hold has been placed.

6. To confirm that your hold is appearing in your RML account, go to LOCATE, sign in and select "My Bookshelf."

7.  Watch for an email alert from RML staff that your requested item has arrived.

If you encounter any difficulties, please reach out to librarystaff@slam.org.
