Richardson Memorial Library & MOBIUS: Mobius Requests

Looking for a book? This guide can help you find a book not in our collection.

What Is It?

MOBIUS is a consortium of 80 regional libraries with 227 branches that provide access to over 30 million titles. MOBIUS member libraries are located in Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Arizona, Arkansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. SLAM library account holders may request MOBIUS materials from throughout the consortium.

Requests typically take 3 to 4 business days to arrive for an initial check-out period of 4 weeks, depending on lending institution and format. Most items can be renewed twice before they must be returned.

MOBIUS + YOU: NEW OPENRS

To start your search, make sure to consult the Richardson Memorial Library's catalog. We extend much longer circulation periods to SLAM staff than are available through MOBIUS.

If the RML does not have the item you seek, search the MOBIUS/OpenRS platform

1. Sign in to your Library user account.

2. Select your institution (Saint Louis Art Museum).

3. Sign in with your institutional username (NOT your email) and password.

4. Find your item in MOBIUS/OpenRS and select "Place a Hold."

5. Wait for confirmation that your hold has been placed.

6. To confirm that your hold is appearing in your RML account, go to LOCATE, sign in and select "My Bookshelf."

7.  Watch for an email alert from RML staff that your requested item has arrived.

If you encounter any difficulties, please reach out to librarystaff@slam.org.
